Cycling tours
Our vacation region has developed into a real Eldorado for cyclists in recent years. This is due firstly to the many new, well-marked cycle paths and secondly to the many different types of bikes that are now available to buy. You can store the bikes you bring with you in our own garage and charge your e-bike here.
Discover the variety of routes
Our Flair-Hotel Werbetal is simply brilliant as a starting point for cycling tours, as both the “ER” (around the Edersee) and the “ER1” (Sachsenhäuser Hügelland and picturesque Werbetal) lead right past our hotel. This means that you can start right outside our front door and cycle off in all directions. Both the ER and the ER1 are connected to the large cycle path network, so you can easily switch to other cycle paths, such as the ER5 or the Ederseebahn cycle path.
We have listed three of the most beautiful routes for you here. Further cycle tour suggestions are available from us at reception or from Edersee-Touristik GmbH at:

Tips on the subject of bike rental:
There is a bike rental service (https://3seenadventure.de) in Sachsenhausen, 5 km from our hotel. This offers guided cycling and hiking tours and also delivers the bikes to our hotel.
Around the Edersee
The marked Edersee circular trail (ER) is an experience for the whole family. The 50 km tour leads around the blue Edersee on mainly asphalted paths. The alternation between water and forest makes this tour an unforgettable experience. Numerous viewpoints and rest areas along the way invite you to relax and unwind. Total length 50.3 km, 18.7 km of which is gravel, 31.6 km asphalted.
Eder cycle path
The Eder Cycle Path accompanies the Eder on its journey through beautiful landscapes in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse. The 168 km long dream tour starts in Erndtebrück and leads along mostly quiet cycle paths and farm tracks without any significant gradients to the Fulda in the Kurhessische Bergland. Here the Eder flows into the Fulda and the Eder Cycle Path becomes the Fulda Cycle Path R1.
A tour on the Ederseebahn cycle path
The best way to experience the beautiful Waldecker Land region is by bike. New and indeed spectacular is the new cycle path along the former Ederseebahn railroad line, which once connected the Ruhr area and the spa town of Bad Wildungen. The continuously asphalted path runs for around 27 km from Korbach to Buhlen am Edersee, passing several tunnels, deep cuttings, old railroad stations, high railroad embankments and bridges with magnificent views, such as the “Selbacher Viaduct”. The average gradient of the entire route is just 2%.
